Can I change my username or password if I have forgotten them in RCU Online banking?

For security reasons, we do not store the answers to your challenge questions. If you have forgotten your security questions, please contact us at (707) 545-4000 or 1 (800) 479-7928 (toll-free) and we will reset your account.

If you have forgotten your RCU Online Banking username or password and wish to retrieve or reset them you may follow the steps below:

From the RCU website homepage, click the “Login” button on the top right corner

Select the “Forgot Username” or “Forgot Password” link to start the username or password retrieval process.

If you selected "Forgot Username", you will be prompted to input your account or card number.

On the next screen, you will be asked to input your Social Security number and birthday.

If you selected "Forgot Password", you will be prompted to input your username, Social Security number, and birthday.

For your security, a verification code is required to complete both processes. An additional security prompt will display on the screen requesting to send a passcode to you for verification. A text message, phone call, or email can be sent to you containing the verification code, and it will allow access to update the account information.

Note: Only the contact information you have previously provided will appear as options.

Once the method of communication is chosen, you will receive a 6 digit passcode that will allow access to update that information. If none of the information is current on your account in order to contact you, please choose the "None of the above" option, and contact our Member Service Center at 800-479-7928 to receive your code.

Once you do receive the code, please enter it in the verification box and click Confirm Passcode. If you did not receive the code the first time around, feel free to select the option to the right to have it resent. If there were multiple passcodes received, only the most recent one will be valid. If the communication method that was chosen does not produce a passcode even after resending it, please select the cancel button, and choose a different method.
